Apple Working on New iPad Pro & iPad Mini

Apple is working on a new iPad Pro with wireless charging, as well as a redesigned iPad Mini in a swift attempt to grasp momentum and capitalize on a category that saw improved sales during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The tech giant thrived through the COVID-19 pandemic as restrictred-by-lockdown consumers stocked up on devices, with iPad sales seeing a better-than-expected $7.8 billion last quarter.

For the new releases, the company’s early planning stages include narrower screen borders for the new iPad Mini and the removal of a home button,  while the iPad Pro is undergoing glass-back tests to enable wireless charging, as well as to try out reverse wireless charging for the very first time. 

People familiar with the matter have stated that the release of the new iPad Pro is expected in 2022 and the iPad Mini - later this year.
