Nestle to Invest 3.2 Billion Swiss Francs to Reduce its Climate Impact
Nestle said Thursday it plans to invest 3.2 billion Swiss francs over the next five years to reduce its climate impact.
The world's largest food conglomerate plans to work with farmers and suppliers to promote regenerative agriculture, plant hundreds of millions of trees, and switch to renewable electricity entirely by 2025.
The company plans to finance these investments through operational and structural efficiencies, in order to keep this initiative earnings neutral.
Nestle additionally commented that it aims to achieve zero net emissions by 2050.
