Zloty, (the word itself meaning "golden" in Polish), is the currency of Poland. The modern z?oty is subdivided into 100 groszy. The currency sign, z?, is composed of the Polish lower-case letters z and ?.As a result of inflation in the early 1990s, the currency underwent redenomination. Thus, on the 1st of January, 1995, 10,000 old z?otych (PLZ) became one new z?oty (PLN).
