Zloty, (the word itself meaning "golden" in Polish), is the currency of Poland. The modern z?oty is subdivided into 100 groszy. The currency sign, z?, is composed of the Polish lower-case letters z and ?.As a result of inflation in the early 1990s, the currency underwent redenomination. Thus, on the 1st of January, 1995, 10,000 old z?otych (PLZ) became one new z?oty (PLN). Since then, the currency has been relatively stable, with an exchange rate fluctuating between 3 and 4 z?oty for a United States dollar. The Euro currency was created in 1990 to make an economic monetary union aiming to mitigate the risks involved with cross border transactions. However, it was only in 2002 that the currency was introduced in physical form, before this it was pegged with the national currencies at a fixed exchange rate.

1. Any exchange or change in the prices of coal or iron is likely to influence the currency, since they are the countries major exports. Poland's key industries include steel and iron production, mining, production of chemical fertilisers and shipbuilding. The majority of trading takes place with Germany and Russia as well as other EU nations. 2. Any volatility with Russia is going to negatively influence the currency because a large amount of exports are going to its bigger trading partners. 3. News regarding the adoption of the EUR should be in number 1 top priority of things to watch out when trading this pair. Any movements towards it, or any final decision against it will definitely move the pair.
